How to control the frequency of the inverter?

  1. Carrier control
    The frequency control of inverter is generally realized by carrier control. The so-called carrier control is to control the frequency and amplitude of the output waveform by changing the frequency and duty cycle of the carrier signal. Usually, the frequency of the carrier signal is fixed, while the duty cycle is adjusted within a certain range. This method can precisely control the output frequency of the inverter to meet different usage requirements.
  2. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control
    PWM control is one of the most important techniques to realize high quality AC output of inverter. The basic principle is to adjust the frequency and amplitude of the output waveform by controlling the conduction time of the switching tube. Specifically, PWM control converts the DC power supply into a set of short pulse signals, and controls its duty cycle to realize the adjustment of frequency and amplitude. By adjusting the duty cycle of the PWM signal, the average value of the output voltage of the frequency drive inverter can be changed, thus realizing the precise control of the frequency.
  3. Sag control strategy
    In the two-terminal inverter system, the sag control strategy is used to achieve the stabilization of the system frequency. Sag control refers to the introduction of a droop function in the inverter output voltage, by comparing the inverter output voltage with the system voltage, the inverter frequency is adjusted to keep the same with the system frequency. When the system frequency decreases, the inverter automatically reduces the frequency to provide additional power; on the contrary, when the system frequency increases, the inverter automatically increases the frequency to reduce the output power. This method helps to maintain the stability of the grid frequency, especially in the case of more distributed power access.
