How to install a car inverter?

Installing a Larger Inverter (Above 300W)

Plan the Installation Location:

Choose a location for the inverter inside your car. Ensure it’s well-ventilated and away from excessive heat or moisture.
The inverter should be securely mounted so it doesn't move while driving.

Disconnect the Car Battery:

For safety, disconnect the negative terminal of your car battery before starting the installation.

Install the Fuse:

Install a fuse close to the battery, typically within 12 inches of the battery terminal. This fuse protects the system in case of a short circuit or overload.
Choose a fuse rated slightly above the inverter’s peak wattage. For example, if your inverter is rated for 1000W, use a 125A fuse (a standard rule of thumb is to use 1.25 times the amperage).

Connect the Inverter to the Battery:

Attach the positive cable (usually marked red) to the positive terminal of your car battery.
Attach the negative cable (usually marked black) to the negative terminal of your car battery.
