Q1: How does this inverter differ from a standard single-to-three-phase VFD?
A standard single-to-three-phase VFD (such as the GK3000-2S series) outputs three-phase voltage at the same level as its input — typically 220V output from a 220V supply. This inverter (GK3000-CS series) steps the output voltage up to 380V, allowing it to drive standard industrial three-phase motors rated at 380V without any additional transformer. If your motor nameplate reads 380V Δ or 380V Y, choose this model.
Q2: Can I connect this inverter to a standard household 220V wall outlet?
Yes, provided the outlet and wiring are rated for the current demand. At 0.75 kW output and typical efficiency, the single-phase input current will be approximately 5–7 A. Verify that the circuit breaker, wiring, and socket are rated accordingly. We recommend a dedicated 10 A or 16 A circuit.
Q3: What output voltages are available?
The standard output is 380V three-phase. Factory configuration for 400V or 415V is available for an additional charge, covering markets where motors are rated at those voltages. Note that 440V and 460V output is supported only when the input supply is 240V.
Q4: Does this drive support closed-loop pressure or flow control for pumps?
Yes. The built-in PID controller accepts a 0–10V or 4–20mA feedback signal from a standard pressure or flow transmitter. No external controller is needed. Set the target setpoint via the keypad or analog input, connect the sensor to the AI1 terminal, and the drive will automatically adjust motor speed to maintain the target.
Q5: Can the motor run in reverse?
Yes. Press the REV key on the keypad or wire an external normally-open contact to the REV terminal to switch motor direction. Forward and reverse acceleration and deceleration times are independently configurable.
Q6: What protections are built in?
The drive includes over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, overheating, phase loss, short-circuit, motor overload, and stall protection. Up to 30 fault codes are logged with operating-state snapshots, and the automatic reset function can restart the drive after a recoverable fault without manual intervention.
