Tips: What caused the 220v to 110v voltage converter to burn out?

Usually, the 220v to 110v (120v to 230/240 volt) voltage converter has safety protection setting, and the protection setting is ground protection and overload protection. There are several reasons why a voltage converter burns out.

  • Overload. There are 2 cases of overload use:
    1. When the customer purchases the voltage converter, the selected capacity is not enough to drive the appliance.
    2. The voltage converter parameters purchased by the customer are suitable, but since the voltage converter parameters are imaginary, the real power is not higher than the working power of the load, causing overload.
  • The voltage converter has no overload protection.
  • The wire diameter is not enough. When the current is too large, the coil heats up severely, eventually causing the voltage converter to burn out.
