6000W Marine Inverter

$5,319.94
| 0 review(s) | Add your review
Sized for vessels with a serious electrical load, this 6000W marine inverter changes the power of a 192V DC battery bank into single-phase pure sine wave AC at 110, 120, 220, 230, or 240V (50 or 60 Hz). With 6 kW of continuous output, a 9 kW five-second surge reserve, and a galvanically isolated AC side, it can power an entire onboard system rather than just a handful of appliances.

Overview

The 6000W model is the choice when a boat's AC demand is no longer a short list of appliances but a full electrical system. It operates from a 192V lithium or lead-acid bank and draws about 32A of DC at full load. Output voltage and frequency are selected on order, and RS485 can be added if the inverter needs to talk to an onboard monitoring or control system.

Digital control built around a DSP28335 processor manages the output, while a low-frequency isolation transformer separates the AC circuit from the batteries. The inverter guards itself against reverse polarity, abnormal input voltage, output overcurrent, short circuit, and overheating. For a smaller bank, see the 5000W marine inverter.

Marine inverter front and rear views

Front and Rear Views

The top-angle views make the cooling layout easy to read. Dense rows of ventilation holes cover a large part of the front panel, and the rear panel has its own openings next to the breakers and cable entries. These perforations give the cooling fan room to work, which becomes more important as a unit approaches 6 kW of output. Leave the front and rear faces unblocked, and avoid placing the inverter tight against a bulkhead or in a sealed cabinet.
Marine inverter LCD screen

LCD Screen

Everything an operator needs to judge the system's health is on the front screen: DC input voltage, output frequency, phase voltage, phase current, mains bypass voltage, cumulative output energy in kWh, clock time, temperature, and fault indications. Indicator lights and a compact five-button keypad support quick checks and settings, and the separate Start Switch ensures the inverter is only energized on purpose.
Marine inverter metal enclosure

Metal Enclosure

Rigid sheet-metal construction with a painted finish gives the chassis a solid, long-lasting build. It stands up well to impacts and sustained vibration, two conditions that every working vessel produces. Mounting ears at the front and two handles simplify rack installation and servicing. With an IP20 rating, the unit should live in a dry, ventilated equipment space rather than an exposed location.

Features

  1. Room for the Starting Moment: The inverter can supply 150% of rated power, or 9 kW, for five seconds. Combined with soft-start behavior, that reserve helps motor-driven equipment get moving.
  2. Waveform You Can Trust: Distortion under 3% on linear loads means electronics, chargers, and appliances see power that looks like shore supply.
  3. Electrical Separation: The isolation transformer keeps the battery side and the AC side apart, adding resilience against interference and electrical shock.
  4. Information Without Extra Meters: Live voltage, current, frequency, energy, temperature, and fault readings are shown on the unit itself.
  5. Self-Protecting Design: Reverse polarity, input voltage extremes, over-current, short circuit, and overheating are all monitored, and a short circuit requires a manual restart after the cause is cleared.
  6. Matched to Your Vessel: Choose the AC voltage, the frequency, and an optional RS485 port so the inverter fits the equipment already on board.

Use Cases

  • Charter and Dive Vessels: Supports galley equipment, air conditioning, compressors' control gear, and guest cabins on boats that spend days away from shore power.
  • Aquaculture and Fishing Support Boats: Runs refrigeration, pumps, lighting, and deck tools from a large battery bank.
  • Survey and Research Vessels: Supplies stable AC to instruments, workstations, and communication equipment on extended missions.
  • Floating Villas and Luxury Houseboats: Handles the full set of household appliances for comfortable living on the water without a generator.

FAQ

Q1: How do I decide whether 6000W is the right size for my boat?

List every AC load that could run at the same time and add up their running watts. Allow for motor starting surges, conversion losses, and a safety margin of roughly 20–30% so the inverter is not working at its limit. If the result lands near or above 5000W, the 6000W model is the better fit.

Q2: What battery voltage does the 6000W inverter use?

The standard input is 192V DC, with a rated DC of about 32 A, from a lithium or lead-acid bank. For other DC voltages, contact us with your battery configuration before ordering.

Q3: What happens if the load briefly exceeds 6000W?

The inverter tolerates 150% of rated power, up to 9 kW, for 5 seconds, which is meant for motor starts and similar short surges. Beyond that, the protection circuits respond. Size the continuous load below 6000W rather than relying on the surge reserve.
