What are two types of solar energy generators?

Solar generators can be divided into two main categories: solar photovoltaic generators and solar thermal generators.

1. Solar photovoltaic generators
   This type of generator is a way of directly converting solar energy into electrical energy, mainly including photovoltaic power generation. Photovoltaic power generation is a technology that directly converts solar energy into electrical energy through solar panels. Solar panels are usually composed of multiple solar cell units. When sunlight shines on the portable solar panels, photons excite electrons in the cells, generating current. This current can then be collected and used for power supply or storage.
2. Solar thermal power generators
   Direct heat conversion method: such as temperature difference power generation, thermal electrons, and thermoelectric ion power generation, these methods directly convert solar thermal energy into electrical energy, but the efficiency is relatively low and is currently less used.
   Indirect heat conversion method: This is the main method of solar thermal power generation at present. It converts solar thermal energy into high-temperature steam or working fluid thermal energy, and then uses this thermal energy to drive steam turbines or stirling engines and other heat engines to drive generators to generate electricity. This method is similar to conventional thermal power generation, but the heat energy comes from solar energy rather than fossil fuels.
