What is the troubleshooting of the solar charge controller of off-grid solar system?

Check for Error Codes or LED Indicators

  • LED Indicators: Many 12v mppt solar charge controllers have LED lights that indicate the status of the system. Check the manual to see if any lights are flashing in a particular pattern that indicates an issue.
  • Error Codes: Some advanced solar charge controllers may display error codes on a screen or via LEDs. Refer to the user manual for specific error code meanings.

Inspect Wiring and Connections

  • Loose or Corroded Wires: Loose, corroded, or improperly connected wires are one of the most common issues. Ensure all connections are tight and clean.
  • Solar Panel to Controller: Check that the wires from the solar panels to the mppt solar charger are properly connected.
  • Battery Connections: Ensure that the battery terminals are clean and connected securely.

I also bought a solar charge controller for my friend
