Tips: Solar Street Light Controller Replacement Common Sense

  • Whether the light source has a built-in drive. If the light source itself has a drive, the controller uses a normal solar street light controller. If there is no driving power in the light source, then you must purchase a constant current control integrated machine.
  • The arrangement of the light source bead. If it is more than 3 strings, use the step-down street lamp controller, 4 or more strings, and use the step-up solar street lamp controller, up to 14 strings.
  • Solar power. If the power of the solar controller is less than 150W, use a 10A controller and use a 20A controller between 150W and 250W.
  • Type of battery. Know whether it is a lead acid or gel battery, or a lithium battery. The type of battery is different, and the controller selection is different because the battery charging parameters are different.
  • The power of the light source. If it is 30W or less, use 10A current controller. If it is 30W~60W with 20A controller, here is the 12V system voltage, and the power is multiplied by 2 when 24V voltage.

Very easy to install, simple to operate and seems to work perfectly. I connected it to 2 100W solar panels, my AGM batteries are fully charged during the day
and then it works in any weather, I hope the controller will continue to work well.

My question about the solar charge controller
Hi! I am new to this and interested in getting a solar-windsystem running, while we've already got a solar panel installed (320W) on a 12V battery system. I'd love to add a 400W wind turbine. As I might wanna upgrade the system later on to a 24V battery system when it's getting bigger, the gib question now is if we should go with a 12V or 24V 400W wind turbine.
In both cases, this MPPT controller would be able to feed a 12V battery, wouldn't it?
And if we'd upgrade later, would it feed a 24V battery?

It is recommended to use 24V 400W wind turbine.
Our MPPT charging controller can automatically identify the battery voltage, and both 12/24V can be used.
Great 50A solar charge controller
